Penta Hospitals Poland is the largest owner of hospitals in the private healthcare sector in Poland. The network currently manages 20 hospitals and 18 outpatient clinics, providing care to over 1.2 million patients annually.

For more than 20 years, Penta Hospitals Poland has been actively developing its clinical research activities. To date, over 500 research projects have been completed, and currently, 114 studies are being conducted across various locations in Poland.

From Wrocław to a nationwide network

Our story began in 2006 with the opening of the first clinical research centre in Wrocław at ul. Pilczycka. The initial focus was on gastroenterology studies – a direction we continue to pursue today. Three years later, a second centre was established at ul. Łowiecka. Both locations quickly gained the trust of patients and recognition from sponsors.

In 2020, we expanded to Poznań, launching a third modern centre that extended care to patients in another region of Poland.

2024: A year of intensive growth

The year 2024 marked a period of dynamic expansion for the Penta Hospitals Poland clinical research network. Through a consistent investment strategy and the commitment of expert teams, we strengthened our position in clinical research within private healthcare.

New centres were established, among others, in:

  • Katowice, at the John Paul II Geriatric Hospital – focused on innovative therapies for geriatric patients;
  • Piaseczno, at St. Anne’s Hospital – expanding the reach and scope of research into new therapeutic areas;
  • Świecie, at Nowy Szpital – introducing the highest standards of clinical research in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region.

In 2024, our history also merged with the Clinical Research Centre PI-House in Gdańsk, established in 2011. The experience of this facility strengthened the consistency and competencies of the entire clinical research network.

A new brand, shared responsibility

The final step is the integration of all centres under one strong, unified brand: Penta Hospitals Clinical Trials.

This solution means:

  • faster implementation of research projects,
  • standardized procedures and practices,
  • higher quality of patient care,
  • even greater access to innovative therapies.

Facts that speak for themselves

Today, the Penta Hospitals Poland network includes:

  • 7 advanced clinical research centres,
  • over 20 years of experience,
  • more than 500 completed projects,
  • professional teams of researchers and coordinators,
  • access to a database of over 1.2 million patients.

Penta Hospitals Poland is not just modern infrastructure – it is a vision of the future of clinical research, already being implemented today based on experience, quality, and a patient-centred approach.
